Phosphatidylserine also known as PS is a supplement that addresses the region of the outside of a nerve cell.
There have been a series of studies, albeit smaller ones, that point in the direction of PS being highly successful in addressing signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s plus other diseases associated with aging.
Daily supplementation with PS resulted in a decrease in overall mental decline and slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
Alzheimer’s disease results in the reduced integrity of brain cells (neurons) which the results in memory loss and other debilitating symptoms.
PS works by strengthening cell membranes itself. Think of it as a “coat of armor” for the nerve cells, so to speak.
Though the jury is still out, PS is very promising.
On a side note, it is also effective in improving memory for anyone.
